v7 — 2026-08-18 Verified against Codex CLI 0.147.0, the newest release on learn.chatgpt.com. Nothing had been renamed upstream, so this release goes after what was already wrong. Repaired two keys that could not have worked: Cmd+J is the bottom panel, not the terminal — the terminal is Ctrl+` and now has its own key — and dictation is Ctrl+Shift+D, not Ctrl+M. The diff pane is the review panel, under its real name. Adds six commands: /side for an ephemeral side chat, /mention to attach a file, /ps and /stop for background terminals, /raw for unformatted scrollback, /experimental for the feature toggles. Removed the /copy key: the docs say it does exactly what Ctrl+O does, and that key stays. Redrew 14 icons that were generic or wrong — /apps no longer wears the same plug as /mcp, /fast gets the lightning that /skills was not using, /import points inward, and back/forward are curved history arrows instead of the twins of the thread carets. Note: Codex runs inside a terminal emulator — Smart Profile auto-switch isn't applicable. Bind the profile manually via the Stream Deck app's App dropdown after install.

Fixed: • /plan-mode is not a Codex command — the key now sends /plan • Four keys shared a glyph with another key; each now has its own • Docs moved from developers.openai.com to learn.chatgpt.com Added — session: /new, /clear, /compact, /rename, /delete, /fork. Model: /model, /reasoning, /fast, /personality, /theme. Tools: /skills, /memories, /apps, /agent, /subagents, /import. Plus /init, Tab to queue a follow-up, Ctrl+O to copy the last reply, and Esc Esc to edit your previous message. The 21-entry Slash folder is gone, split into Code, Session, Config, Tools and Quick.
